Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his first championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid year, winning just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in specific - led to him falling of the top ten and finally splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 titles at 21 various competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his previous six finals, including in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and regular outbursts on court had led observers to doubt if his ability to play at the top level was concluded.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an better serve.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging opponent, winning 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional championship, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
He defended 4 early-game break points in a close third set before the champion won the break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent incapable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
